The organiser of Jupiter Miami Festival is committed to creating an environment that is safe, professional, and inclusive for all who attend. Every participant — whether speaker, attendee, sponsor, or staff — is entitled to be treated fairly, with courtesy, and with respect.

Harassment of any participant, in any form, will not be tolerated. This Code of Conduct outlines expectations for all who take part in the Festival community, as well as the consequences for unacceptable behaviour.

This Code of Conduct also applies to unacceptable behaviour occurring outside of official Festival activities if such behaviour has the potential to adversely affect the safety and well-being of participants.

What constitutes harassment and unacceptable behaviour?

Harassment includes, but is not limited to:

  • Offensive verbal comments or personal insults related to gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, physical appearance, race, or religion
  • Sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or otherwise discriminatory jokes and language
  • Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following
  • Unwelcome or unauthorised photography or recording
  • Sustained and deliberate disruption of activities or events
  • Inappropriate physical conduct
  • Unwelcome sexual attention (including sexualised comments or jokes, inappropriate touching, groping, and unwelcome advances)
  • Possession or use of weapons or illegal drugs at the Festival

Consequences of unacceptable behaviour

Unacceptable behaviour from any participant — including sponsors and those in positions of authority — will not be tolerated.

  • Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behaviour is expected to comply immediately.

  • Violations may result in actions including temporary suspension or permanent expulsion from the Festival without warning or refund.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to ban violators from future events.
  • In serious cases, the Organiser may contact venue security or local law enforcement.

How to report bad conduct

If you are subject to, or witness, unacceptable behaviour — and it is safe to do so — you are encouraged to ask the person to stop. Participants who are asked to cease such behaviour must comply immediately.

If you do not feel comfortable doing so, or if the behaviour continues, please report it to the Festival team at the information desk or via the contact details provided in attendee materials. Reports will be taken seriously and investigated promptly, with action taken as appropriate.

We expect all participants to follow this Code of Conduct at the Festival venue, at related social events, and in all associated online platforms.
